Driftwood

I  have a tried and tested routine when it comes to collecting driftwood! It  starts  off with a coffee and croissant at the Rocket House cafe – it’s right on the sea-front and has the best views, best coffee, and the best staff !! After a sit-down and a read of the paper, I’m ready for foraging and looking to see what the tide has brought in. ( I also pick up one piece of rubbish on every trip.) All the wood I find will be taken home to be sorted and washed, and will be made into signs, trees, simple crosses, and wall-art. The pieces are left un-varnished.
